Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Hyro Music handles information when you use the application.

What the app collects

Hyro Music does not require an account to search for or play music. Signing in to YouTube Music is optional and allows you to access your own library and playlists. When you use sign-in or other online features, relevant information may be processed by the services required to provide those features. Hyro Music does not operate its own separate account system.

What the app does not do

Third-party services

Hyro Music is a player for YouTube Music, so playback requests are sent to YouTube's services and are subject to Google's own privacy policy. Optional features — recognizing a song, importing a Spotify playlist, or fetching synced lyrics — send the minimum data needed (such as an audio snippet or a playlist ID) to the relevant third-party service to perform that action, and are subject to that service's own privacy policy.

Data storage

Your playlists, downloaded songs, and app settings are stored locally on your device. Hyro Music does not operate its own server to store this data. However, online features may send relevant information to third-party services to provide the functionality you request. The Listen Together feature is currently in development. Its data-sharing practices will be explained in this policy before the feature is released.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time to stop using an account-linked library. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling Hyro Music removes all locally stored playlists, downloads, and settings from your device.
